Last
week, supermodel Petra Nemcova hit the red carpet for the Happy Hearts Fund
Fight for Education Gala, which she hosted.
Nemcova,
the co-founder of Happy Hearts Fund, gathered big names from finance, fashion,
and sports for the NYC event, which aims to rebuild safe schools in areas
impacted by natural disasters. The organization has helped rebuild 130 schools
and aim over 550,000 students and community members in 10 countries.
Petra
shared, "This evening is not only a celebration. We are here for the
children around the world who suffered so much after natural disasters and are
currently waiting to get back to safe, resilient schools. Tonight's gala will
allow us to change this reality which destroys generations."
Dane
Cook and Tony Hale were some of the known actors at the event. Dane said,
"I was proud to be part of Happy Hearts Fund to help raise money for
children that need education.”
Petra
founded Happy Hearts Fund in 2005, just a year after surviving the historically
devastating tsunami in Thailand.
